What to Do Before You Arrive
Call the clinic as soon as possible.
Explain your symptoms so our team can determine the urgency of your situation and find the earliest available appointment.
While waiting for your visit:
- Apply a cold compress outside the cheek to help reduce swelling.
- Avoid chewing on the affected side.
- Rinse gently with warm salt water if the area is irritated.
- Keep a knocked-out tooth moist in milk or inside your cheek.
- Bring any broken tooth pieces with you.
- Bring your medication list, insurance information, and CDCP documents.
Do not place aspirin directly on your gums or tooth.
Go to the nearest hospital emergency department if you have
- difficulty breathing
- uncontrolled bleeding
- a serious facial injury
- swelling that affects your airway.
