What is the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP)?
The CDCP is a government program designed to make dental care accessible and affordable for eligible Canadians.
It supports individuals and families with a net income below $90,000 who do not have private dental insurance.
The plan covers a wide range of essential dental services including:
Preventive
Restorative
Emergency treatments
The CDCP helps eligible Canadians access oral health care services by reducing financial barriers.
With CDCP, eligible patients can receive care from participating dentists—like us—without financial stress.
Who Qualifies for CDCP?
You may be eligible if you:
- Are a Canadian resident
- Have no private, employer-sponsored, or other dental coverage
- Have a family net income under $90,000
- Filed a tax return for the previous year
Families, adults, and seniors who meet these criteria can benefit from the program.

Coverage and Co-payments
The Canadian Dental Care Plan helps eligible Canadians pay for certain dental services.
The amount covered depends on:
Your adjusted family net income
The CDCP-established fee for the service
Whether the treatment is covered or requires preauthorization
Co-payments Based on Family Income
Income under $70,000
There is no income-based co-payment.
CDCP may cover up to 100% of the CDCP-established fee.
Income from $70,000 to $79,999
You are responsible for a 40% co-payment of the CDCP-established fee.
CDCP may cover the remaining 60%.
Income from $80,000 to $89,999
You are responsible for a 60% co-payment of the CDCP-established fee.
CDCP may cover the remaining 40%.
CDCP may not cover the full cost of every treatment.
You may also be responsible for additional charges if the treatment cost is higher than the CDCP-established fee or the service is not covered.
Before treatment begins, our team will explain the recommended care and any expected patient costs.
