CDCP, explained

Everything you need to know about the CDCP

The details below are here if you want them — but you don’t need to read a word of it to book. Call us or use the form above and we’ll walk you through your coverage.

What is the Canadian Dental Care Plan?

The CDCP is a federal program designed to make dental care accessible and affordable for eligible Canadians. It supports individuals and families with an adjusted family net income below $90,000 who do not have private dental insurance, and it covers a wide range of essential services — preventive, restorative and emergency treatment.
With CDCP, eligible patients can receive care from participating dentists — like us — without the financial stress.

Who qualifies for CDCP?

You may be eligible if:
Families, adults and seniors who meet these criteria can all benefit from the program.

Coverage and co-payments

How much the CDCP covers depends on your adjusted family net income, the CDCP-established fee for the service, and whether the treatment is covered or requires preauthorization.
Under $70,000

No income-based co-payment.

CDCP may cover up to 100% of the CDCP-established fee.
$70,000 – $79,999

You pay a 40% co-payment.

CDCP may cover the remaining 60% of the CDCP-established fee.
$80,000 – $89,999

You pay a 60% co-payment.

CDCP may cover the remaining 40% of the CDCP-established fee.
CDCP may not cover the full cost of every treatment. You may be responsible for additional charges if a treatment costs more than the CDCP-established fee, or if the service isn’t covered. Before treatment begins, our team will explain the recommended care and any expected patient costs.
